Services Provided:Promote the social, emotional, physical and economic well-being and the safety of Vermont’s children and families through the provision of protective, developmental, therapeutic, probation, economic, and other support services for children and families in partnership with schools, businesses, community leaders, service providers, families, and youths statewide. Oversees the Food Stamp program, Welfare-to-Work (Reach Up), Home Heating Assistance, General and Emergency Assistance, The Essential Person Program (AABD), and Health Care Eligibility (Medicaid).
