Northeast Kingdom Community Action (NEKCA)
Services Provided: Provides direct program activities, referrals, advocacy, and education in a non-judgmental manner to the people of the communities in the Northeast Kingdom. Outreach offices in Newport, St. Johnsbury, Island Pond and Canaan provide low income residents assistance with emergency food, shelter and fuel. NEKCA’s Food Pantries provide short-term help in times of crisis; employment counseling; health insurance; crisis management, career planning.
